Description
An organic Malbec from Argentina’s respected traditionalist winemaker Carmelo Patti, this comes out of a two acre, high altitude vineyard planted in 1916 in Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza. Complex and earthy, it’s seriously delicious, but you gotta buy into the funky/savory style of Malbec interpretation (yeah, I’ll say it: this wine reminds me a lot of Bordeaux back in the 1980s and 90s). Dry-aged ribeye would be a fine pairing, but Tandoori chicken would work too. — DF
